Have a Dinosaur Day with the kids today!
The Land Before Time has been showing on HBO Family this month. Ever since we first turned it on my oldest has been obsessed with dinosaurs. Of course my youngest likes them now too.
So this week we went on an adventure in search of our fav prehistoric creatures. We had a dinosaur day, and you can too.
First up- finding some dino toys. We went to Michaels craft store because I heard they had dinos for a dollar. Didn't find any at mine but we did find a cool pack of 14 little dinos for a few bucks they could share (like THESE). For older kids there are cool dinosaurs you can make or paint with kids there too.
Next up books and a different dino movie. I was tired of seeing the same one over and over. We went to a used bookstore but the library is also a great free option. We ended up with Dinosaur, a really cooly animated Disney movie and a board book about dinos with pull out stencils that we can use as an art project too.
A great shirt for dino lovers is the future paleontologist tee for toddler by Unearthed Tees. (Read more about them HERE.) Ava donned that shirt as we went about our dino day fun.
You can also add to the dino fun using dinosaur cookie cutters and make dino shaped sandwiches, jello, cookies or even playdough dinos.
If your kids don't like dinos, you can still make anyday special and fun by making it a theme day!
