Dino lovers take note: there's a new t-rex on the scene. He's big, he's bad and he's soooo not scary! That's because he's Rex from Toy Story and he's now available for non-animated kids to love as much "Andy" does.

Rex is part of the new line of toys based on the toys of Toy Story fame. He's a funny lil guy. He'll roar and even talk with you (only in preprogrammed sentences) in the real voice of Rex from the Toy Story movies. This Rex really looks like he stepped right out of the movie and into your house!

My daughters who've yet to see Toy Story 1 or 2 love playing with Rex. They're big dinosaur lovers and they immediately started playing with the other dinos in their collection but he towers over them. Rex is now the coolest one in the collection. (Now bumped to second coolest dinos in their collection are the Kota and Pals Hatchlings, which are also animatronic toys and cheaper but they're also smaller.)

All in all this is a good choice for a holiday list for dino lovers as well as Toy Story fans. It would make a great pairing with the Toy Story movies. (However the Toy Story DVDs and Blu-rays are very hard to find. I couldn't find them in the stores anywhere being they're old releases. My quest for them will now take me to some resell shops.)

Here's a clip of the Toy Story director John Lasseter talking about and demonstrating Rex...
