Looking for ideas for getting the house ready for Halloween with an eye to young children? Here are a few ideas that are easy to put up back really spooky-up the house...

Halloween Fatheads

The Halloween Fathead decorations look great and go up so quickly. My daughters and I put up the Haunted House window fathead - which also comes with two pumpkins and bats- and their Halloween monster heads. All of which are really cool and look fantastic hanging up on our house. The window scene is gigantic, so it looks like you're really looking into or out of a cartoon spooky window. We put the monster heads on our garage door and brought it into the season too. You can use the Fatheads indoors or outdoors. The real test with these will come on November 1 when its time to take down the Halloween decorations. We'll see how easily they go back on the Fathead paper to store for next year's use. I suppose another option would be to just peel and stick them on the wall of your garage until next year. They really do stick off and on quite easily - as long as you properly clean the surface before hanging them up.

Halloween sock monkey ornaments

These sock monkeys are so cute and festive and can be hung anywhere. They'd be a nice addition to a "Trick or Treat Tree" or just hanging on the front porch. You can use them as Halloween party favors too.

Jack Skellington Wreath

Sing out "This is Halloween, this is Halloween" to the trick or treaters with this macabre yet friendly wreath perfect for Nightmare Before Christmas lovers. Hanging it up calls for a viewing of the movie with the kiddos. It would be fun to play the soundtrack on your front porch or during your Halloween party to finish setting the scene. DisneyStore.com has lots of other cute Nightmare Before Christmas decorations as well if you want to go all out in one theme for a party.
