Back to School Healthy & Green: How to fight global warming at lunch with no effort

Here's a little thing you can do to help fight global warming with almost zero effort. Change what you have for lunch and what you pack in the kiddos lunches. The easiest way to do it: make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich instead of a burger, ham sandwich, or like item for lunch.

"The water it takes to produce the beef on one burger could produce peanuts for about 17 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and the land that it takes to produce that beef could produce peanuts for 19 PB&Js," according to the site PBJCampaign.org. "It’s also why the livestock sector is responsible for 18 percent of global climate change, and why you can fight global warming by having a PB&J for lunch."

Intrigued? You can read on at PBJcampaign.org. By the way, the site isn't sponsored by a peanut butter company or any advocacy groups. They're just "private citizens concerned about the environment," according to their page.

The PB&J Campaign has made some funny videos to illustrate their point.
