New cell phones are great gifts for spouses (and for buying yourself a little holiday treat too). You know what kind of plan they need and what they'd really like in a phone.

Until last month I always bought my cell phones from the cell company directly. I've gotten lots of free phones, but they're usually the base models and I've never been excited about them. Last month is when I discovered some of the absolute bargains on cell phones... really good cell phones that you'll be excited to own for free or money back... from Amazon.com.

For instance, I bought the Blackberry 8320 Curve Smartphone with a TMobile contract for ONE CENT and then got a $50 rebate, so it turned out they paid me $49.99 to get the phone I wanted and was going to spend $100+ on over at TMobile.com. And right now they have an even better rebate. They send you $100 bucks back, so you're getting the phone for MINUS $99! Verizon and AT&T also have this phone for similar deals at Amazon. Most have free shipping too. Amazon has several other good bargains as well on other types of phones from a variety of service providers. You don't need any coupon codes to get these deals.

As with all cell phone purchases everywhere, make sure to read the terms of service and contract details to make sure you want to sign up with the company's plans because you'll be locked on for two years, generally.

I'm very happy with my TMobile service and my Blackberry. I recommend both. The Blackberry is what I call the ultimate mommy phone. I love taking photos of my girls and uploading them to Facebook or sending them by email to friends and family. I also like using the Twitterberry application too.
