This is a part of a new series of stories called Diaper Diaries - The Diaper Challenge that explores cloth diapering, which is gaining in popularity everyday. (Read the rest of the articles in this series HERE.)
I challenged diaper companies small and large to send me their best diaper to test out. I will be reporting my findings about each diaper individually as well as comparing and contrasting them later in this series. Each diaper has been tested for about a month or more by both my one year old and 2.5 year old girls.

Green Acre Designs diapers (also known as GADs to those in the cloth diapering community) are made by a mom. Because of this, you can order custom designs, including embroidery. This is a really neat feature you don't see too in many brands and can make these diapers a great present for baby for a birthday or the holidays, which I wouldn't say about most diapers.
I tried the Grape PUL with Lilac Microfleece All In One (aka AIO) in large ($19.95), the Limited Edition Medium Long Slate Mid Weight Windpro with Mint Microfleece ($17.95), and One Size Microfiber Terry inserts ($4.50).
When you pick up the GAD diapers you notice an immediate difference from other diapers - they're colorful inside and out. I have to say I really like having colorful insides instead of boring white that will show stains easier. The insides are also all made from microfleece which is very soft and absorbent. It also keeps baby's skin dry because it wicks moisture away from the skin.
The Windpro diaper is made from thick breathable fleece. It is really soft all around. I normally opt for this diaper when either of my girls' skin is irritated or extra sensitive. They're super absorbent but not fully waterproof. So they're great for around the house, but not so much for long road trips, though I haven't risked a long road trip with this one. If we leave the house with this one, we use a diaper cover on top of it just in case. The medium long length option in this diaper is great for tall, skinny babies.
The PUL is similar to other PUL diapers, but the inside seems softer than most. All the GAD diapers are made using snaps, something I've really become a fan of. I've never had any leakage problem with this brand.
The inserts have a unique design that dries quickly. They are several layers of Microfiber Terry but the sides aren't sewn together, so the air gets in there and dries it out quicker in the dryer. They also have cool little flaps at the front that you can fold over the edge in the front for extra absorbency where you need it the most.
The GADs Windpro have become one of my favorites that I look for in my diaper stash. Though, like most others I've tried, I don't use them at night because my girls need more absorbency than these provide.
