The perfect gifts for newborns are really things that the baby's parents can use to make life more enjoyable for the little one and easier on the parents too. But if you're looking for toys for newborns - check out part 1 of my newborn gift guide HERE.

The Podee has been hands down THE best baby feeding product I’ve ever bought. It allowed my daughter to suck down her formula while I do the dishes, run errands, check email, or stroll her to the park. I used these with both of my children, though now they've outgrown them. It looks a bit like a crazy straw (see photo left), but it is a great product.
Conair Sound Therapy Sound Machine lets baby (and parents) get a good night sleep by providing a relaxing, lulling sound and drowning out other noises. It has 10 different sounds and they are great! I love the ocean waves, thunderstorm and songbirds with a babbling brook in the background.
Morado Designs makes custom embroidered wall hangings and other items perfect for the baby’s room. I have the Little Birdie Birth Announcement hanging on the wall in my daughter’s room. It’s nicely crafted and offers a nice personal touch. And it's made in the USA by a mom.
WhirleyGirl makes custom handpainted keepsakes for babies in both girly and all boy designs. They're great for decorating baby's room. And they're made in the USA by a very artistic mom.
Affirmawraps send positive messages while you swaddle your newborn in the warm and cuddly blankets. Check out affirmagy.com to read the messages printed on the blankets.
Tivoli Couture’s Cuddle Bottle Blankets aren't a blanket, they're like a coozie for baby's bottle. They’re made of super soft material with bumpy texture and little ribbon tags for tiny fingers to fidget with. Plus they make the bottles look super cool.
Paci-Partner is an infant positioner and pacifier prop. It was invented by a mom and two dad team of medical professionals. It’s made to keep pacis in place and at the same time keep newborns in place. When they get older, the Paci-Partner can be used as a lovey too. This is a really neat idea.
Zen Baby DVD was made specifically to relax and unwind little minds from newborn to toddler.
Baby Eggi's Days of the week Onesies available in English, French & Spanish. They're cute, simply and practical.
Zo-li's Baby Ohm Diaper Changing Mat helps stop the squirmies with its non-slip material, water-resistant and eco-friendly materials used to make it. It's basically like a yoga mat for changing diapers.
The Papasan Swing by Fisher-Price has been a life saver for me. I used it with both of my girls and it had them sleeping through the night by about five week old until they were about six months old, which is when we moved them into a crib. We kept this near our bed so we could keep an eye on our little sleeping beauties. It's soft and has two positions - one for newborn sleeping and another for sitting up when baby is older and just wants to pay or relax in it.
Snuggle baby up Australian-style with breathable, soft wraps from Aden + Anais. These are said to be favorites of new celeb moms. But they're perfect for all babies. The company was started by two Aussie moms who moved to the US and wanted products they loved from back home. They also make really soft washcloths and hooded towels too.
Baby carriers are one of the best things I own and use most often. I highly recommend those as a newborn gift as well. Read my story on the Best Baby Carriers HERE.
