Tonight at 7:55pm EST NASA will launch space shuttle Endeavour. The launch will be manned by a seven person crew, three of which are newbies and will be making their first space flight.

The Endeavour is carrying one of the heaviest payloads in NASA history - about 14,500 pounds of stuff... including extra sleeping quarters, a second toilet, an exercise device and the first ever space refrigerator. Read more about the space fridge HERE.

"The prime objective of the 15-day mission is to prepare the International Space Station to accommodate six members for long-duration stays," according to NASA's mission website.

You can watch the big launch live on the web at NASA.gov.

Read the launch blog with kids that love space stuff HERE. It includes images and videos from the astronauts as they're getting ready for tonight's mission.

Play space games with Buzz Lightyear and Wall-E and learn more about space with kid appropriate discussions with NASA's Kids' Club website HERE.

You can also play a fun online game that lets kids control the "space shuttle" HERE
