The baby name of the day is... Malia.

The most famous Malia - President-elect Barack Obama's oldest daughter Malia Ann, who is ten years old. According to thinkbabynames.com, Malia is a Hawaiian name meaning "perhaps, probably". It is also a derivitive of Mary and Maria.

Last year the Social Security Administration (SSA) reported Malia was ranked #403, the highest it has ever ranked in the past 100 years. It has popped in and out of the top 1000 girls names in America since 1977.
