Translation Tee by Temporary Language

Toddlers are, well, toddlers. It is an interesting, fun, difficult, exciting stage of childhood. Personalities explode and quirks come out.

Celebrate your child with some cool shirts that go with all that uber energy! I've been scouring the web looking for the hippest shirts around for toddlers, these are the best!

An endearing quirk of every toddler is the unique language they have for the things in their world. Whether memon is lemon or jou jou is juice, the folks at Temporary Language have something for your little one. Their Translation Tees ($30 short sleeve, $34 long sleeve, temporarylanguage.com) are custom made for each child using their own words to describe their favorite things.

My 2.5 year old has a Translation Tee with a cartoon monkey on it with the word "dunkey," which is what she calls her best night time buddy. You just pick out the graphic you want (or even send in your own), select the word, the translation and off you go. They're fabulous tees.

The shirt that my daughter gets the most ohhs and awws over when she sports it around town is definitely the personalized thermal tee by Blume ($40, blumegirl.com).

The tees have a cool name badge that can have up to ten characters printed on it with a name or anything else you want. They come in several colors too. Add that to the fact that Blume's products are worn by celebrity kiddos makes these tees ultra hip.

Wanna trendy message on your tot's shirt and support a good cause at the same time? Then check out Solid Threads'  "word to your mother" shirts ($20, solidthreads.com). The tees are organic, really soft and look cool on boys and girls.

Ten percent of the proceeds from this design are donated to the "Alliance for Climate Protection," which aims to cut emissions and reduce global warming.

Save the music in schools by dressing your toddler up in these cool tees. My daughter was so excited to wear this musical octopus. The shirts are available only at Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurants for $10 through November 15.

Bring some double happiness with a full dose of hipness with these toddler tees by Baby Monkey. ($24.99, babymonkeyny.com). The shirts are really soft and say double happiness as well as have the Chinese character on the shirts. Baby Monkey says "The Double Happiness symbol is frequently used to promote lasting happiness, love, and good relationships." They're also 100% organic cotton.

Whichever candidate you support... or maybe you support no one but believe in the political process... check out these cute new toddler shirts by Blume ($25, Blume.com). They feature your favorite party animal. There's also one called "Peace Out" for independents. They also come in big kid, mom and dad sizes. Also, vote for your party or independence while you're on Blume's site checking them out!

An eco-friendly choice that teaches children about rare animals and sends a positive message are the toddler tees by Swell Foop ($22, swellfoop.com). These tees are cool looking, 100% organic and made in the USA. Not only are the shirts cute, but the company donates 10% of proceeds to non-profits to support environmental causes.

For smaller toddlers (up to 24 months), you can buy this cool onesie by Tees For Change and get a tree planted ($24, teesforchange.com). The shirts are 100% organic cotton, made in the USA and are really soft!

And finally, for your dino-loving  tots, the Future Paleontologist Infant/Toddler T-Shirt by UnEarthed Tees ($15.99, unearthedtees.com). These are availiable in size 6 months to 4T. They also have other shirts with rock themes like Future Geologist. There's a certain nerdy hip factor to these plus what kid doesn't like rocks or dinosaurs.
