Stage 6 profile from letour.fr

Spanish riders will be looking for win today as the race takes a detour into Spanish soil for stage 6. Leaving from Girona and ending in Barcelona's Olympic stadium, the race offers Spanish fans and riders a chance to see the race on their own turf.

Imagine being the host country for the soccer World Cup or having the Super Bowl in your local stadium. One glimpse at the Versus coverage shows the epic nature of this event.

With Spaniards lining the route screaming, "Venga, venga venga!" will any other nation's riders have a chance today?  Will Contador feel compelled to wrest control from his Astana teammate Lance Armstrong?  Will the five categorized climbs prove too much for sprinters on the final stage before the peloton head to the mountains?

See you at the finish line.
