Centered in the heart of Logan Square at the corner of Milwaukee Avenue, Logan Boulevard and Kedzie Avenue, the Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival runs for three days, Friday, July 31, through Sunday, August 2, from noon to 11:00 p.m. each day, and runs for miles up and down Milwaukee Avenue from California Avenue to Ridgeway Avenue (pdf map available for download) with a free trolley to take festival goers from one end to the other.

Vacant storefronts will be converted to art galleries during the festival (see preview over at Peoplng Places and a full list of art exhibitions and galleries), and additional galleries will be housed at existing, new, and perhaps new to you, businesses.

In addition to the exhibitions and galleries, there will be artists' open studios, an art market with handmade crafts and fine art for sale, and a silent auction of the 5-hour masterpieces (yes, even the kids' ones) created at the Live Art Events (like Planting peace at Paseo Prairie Garden) earlier this summer.

And in addition to the art events, there will be several stages of music with a variety of genres for your listening pleasure (listen to a preview over at Peopling Places, see the live music schedule and watch for program updates). There will something for everyone -- kids' and seniors' programs, sidewalk sales and sidewalk cafés, active and passive activities.
