Don't be concerned about Laveranues Coles' one-catch opener. He basically sat out all of the preseason and thus missed critical get-to-know-you time with Favre. Yet with the Jets knocking on the door in the opener, it was Coles who Favre went to on a slant pass in the end zone. It didn't connect, but it probably will next time. Dolphins: Ricky Williams got 14 touches in the opening loss to the Jets and Ronnie Brown got nine. What are we to make of that? Here's what: Brown's stock just rose in my book. He wasn't even a sure-thing participant in the game because of a thumb injury, yet he made the most of his nine touches. Meanwhile, Williams, given perhaps his best opportunity of the season, did little with his 14. Look for those numbers to reverse - and continue in that direction - real soon. If you can get Brown on the cheap now, do it ...

Here's the best part about Anthony Fasano's eight-catch opener: Sidekick David Martin had four receptions. With arguably the weakest wideout corps in the league, noodle-armed Chad Pennington is going to lean on his tight ends a lot this season. Fasano is a must-grab off the waiver wire.
