Ben Roethlisberger has developed into a nice quarterback, and with Santonio Holmes, Hines Ward and Heath Miller, he's now got a good group of receivers with which to work.
It seems to set him up to be a top-flight fantasy quarterback.
But perception is far from the truth in 2008.
If you watched the Steelers-Eagles game last week, you see why Roethlisberger has limited potential as a fantasy quarterback this season. First off, he's banged up a bit. And secondly, his offensive line has many holes, which is bound to get him banged up a lot more.
As the weather gets colder in Pittsburgh, the Steelers will turn to what they do best -- run the ball and play quality defense. That's a deadly combination for a fantasy quarterback, just as it was for Big Ben late last season, when he threw zero or one touchdown pass in four of Pittsburgh's final seven games.
Trade Roethlisberger now before everyone recognizes the cold truth.
