Steven Jackson, meet Larry Johnson.

You remember Mr. Johnson. Great fantasy player when the Chiefs were a competitive team.

But once the Chiefs became doormats, forcing them to play from behind almost every week, Johnson transformed first from fantasy star to fantasy part-timer, and more recently to fantasy backup.

Jackson and the Rams are headed down that same path.

St. Louis has a hard time competing these days, which has put Marc Bulger under so much fire, he's lost his job. Do you really think the move to Trent Green is going to change anything?

Jackson is no longer a fantasy star. He can still start for some teams, but that might not even be the case a couple of months from now.

Coming off a decent effort, you might still get a decent price in a trade -- if you can find someone foolish enough to deal for him. Don't be that fool.
