OK, if there's someone out there who, based on his five-touchdown performance last week, wants to give you LaDainian Tomlinson for Ronnie Brown, go ahead and do it.
But Brown doesn't have nearly that kind of value right now. And when a player's potential is greater than his value, it's usually good to hold onto him.
Brown surely has a lot of potential. Not five-TD potential on too many Sundays. But let's not forget he was one of the highest scoring backs in the fantasy game last season before getting injured.
What's changed? Well, he injured a thumb and missed most of training camp, leading to a slow start. And Ricky Williams had an impressive preseason, leading to the belief he would at least split carries with Brown.
Three weeks into the season, things have changed. Brown looks like he did last year, and so does Williams. In the latter case, that's not good.
Expect bigger and bigger things from Brown as the season goes along. Trade him now? No chance.
