Here's your fantasy football lesson for today: When was the last time it was wise to trade a Mike Martz quarterback?
Answer: It's never been a good idea. And still isn't.
J.T. O'Sullivan might not be Tom Brady, but there's really no reason to believe he can't be Kurt Warner.
You remember Warner, right? He was the journeyman who turned into a fantasy star with Martz pulling his strings.
Three starts into his relationship with Martz, O'Sullivan has started down a similar path. The 49ers are far and away a better offensive team than they've been in years, and these guys hardly know each other.
It will be no surprise if O'Sullivan has his best passing game of the young season this week in New Orleans. And it also will be no surprise if he carries that momentum forward.
Is he a fantasy starter? This week he is. And he's likely to be on many other occasions this season.
Trade him? I just don't get it.
