Redskins: The Redskins didn't do much offensively in the opener, but it's easy to identify the guys who are going to be productive this season. Santana Moss remains the No. 1 receiver and Chris Cooley is solid for a tight end, but based on what I saw against the Giants, you've got to consider Antwaan Randle El at least a fantasy backup at WR. Trust me: You have worse sitting on your bench ...
I love seeing Clinton Portis get 23 carries. The touchdowns and 100-yard games will come. If you can get him in a trade right now, I'd strongly recommend it before his owner recognized what he's got.
Giants: With all this talk about the Giants' three-headed running attack, there were some surprises in the opening win over the Redskins. First off, the monster had only two heads, and Brandon Jacobs' was far and away the biggest. He's the only Giants RB worthy of a fantasy roster spot. If someone is your league is RB shopping, feel free to offer up Derrick Ward off a decent effort ...
Thirty-five passes are a lot for Eli Manning, especially in a game where the Giants never trailed. That makes Plaxico Burress a sure-thing Top 10 fantasy receiver, and opens the door for someone else to make a fantasy splash. Steve Smith didn't do much in the opener, but I wouldn't give up on him yet.
