Play Joe Nedney this week.
This is a topic we've discussed before, and usually I'm on the other side of it.
Generally because they don't trust their own team, many fantasy owners like to have at least one player from the Monday night game in their lineup. It gives them a last-gasp chance if they haven't gotten the job done on Sunday.
I think this is a terrible idea. It makes no sense to me why you'd want a weaker player in your lineup just because he plays the last game of the week.
That said, there are some Monday matchups that are more fantasy-friendly than others. This week's 49ers-Cardinals contest is one of them.
The 49ers might not be very good, but given two weeks to prepare for a less-than-stellar defense, they should be able to march up and down the field rather effectively against the Cardinals. With a new quarterback (Shaun Hill), that might not always translate into touchdowns, but with Nedney's powerful leg as an option, it should produce a bunch of field goals.
And the weather in Arizona? You don't have to ask, even in November.
Go with Nedney on Monday and prepare to make a nice (if necessary) comeback.
