Use stats to your advantage.

Fantasy statistics are so sophisticated these days, you can actually - and rather easily - look up which defense has given up the most points to tight ends this season. This can be a useful tool when it comes time to make waiver claims and/or do lineups.

The Chargers are far and away the worst team in the NFL when it comes to defending the tight end. They're so bad at it, it's scary.

Unfortunately, they're on a bye this week, so No. 2 will have to do. And that's the Jets.

This works out well. The Bills' Robert Royal is available in most leagues, and he can be surprisingly productive when the stars align.

Mix in Trent Edwards' improvement this season and some questionable weather - more short throws to the tight end in wind and rain - and you have all the ingredients for a Week 9 sleeper. Credit the matchup.

Royal is worth a shot at home against the Jets.
