Everyone watched the Steelers-Cardinals Super Bowl. That should help you at your next fantasy draft.
Pretty much on the strength of one game, Larry Fitzgerald resides atop the wide receivers draft list in Fantasy Football 2009.
He's a great player, but let's be honest: He's no Randy Moss. And if someone takes the Cardinal ahead of Moss in your fantasy draft, they're making a mistake.
When we last saw a healthy Tom Brady, Moss was catching 98 passes for 1,493 yards and an amazing 23 touchdowns in 2007.
Last year - during the FANTASY season - Fitzgerald hauled in 96 passes for 1,431 yards and 12 TDs.
Similar ... except that last number. But, wow, what a difference.
Yeah, Fitzgerald outplayed Moss in 2008. But chalk that up to the fact Moss was handcuffed by a young quarterback, Matt Cassel, and yet still put up decent numbers: 1,008 yards and 11 TDs.
Compare that to 2007, when Fitzgerald was similarly held back by an inexperienced QB, Matt Leinart. In the lefty's five starts that year, Fitzgerald went four consecutive games without getting into the end zone and finished with a total of one TD despite seeing all three teams from the weak NFC West in that stretch.
With Kurt Warner as a tag-team partner, Fitzgerald is a stud. But he's no Randy Moss.
