49ERS

A lot is made - negatively, I might add - about Frank Gore's three big runs this season. The point is: Most of his runs have gone basically nowhere. I say: You can't seriously be complaining about a back's breakaway ability. Look at his numbers against a quality Colt defense last week: 18 touches, 134 yards, 1 touchdown. Yeah, basically half those yards came on one run. But, seriously, you're complaining? Just keep playing Gore and shut up.

COLTS

Joseph Addai did about the bare minimum with his 22 touches in Sunday's win, but that's no reason to bench him. Rather, give the 49er defense some credit for standing up to the mighty Texans. Addai isn't likely to get that kind of resistance from the Texans this week. I'll take my chances with 22 touches again. Keep him in there.
