The Jaguars are coming off a season-saving win over the Colts that no doubt provides a much-needed confidence boost. With Houston, Denver, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Detroit among their next six opponents, the Jaguars should feature some fantasy-worthy players.
Here, I can name two: Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew. And that's it.
The win over the Colts was exactly what coach Jack Del Rio needed to see to stick with his ball-control program. The Jaguars are at their best when they are running the ball and playing good defense.
David Garrard manages a game well, and might be a decent passer. But in this system, he is not a fantasy-worthy quarterback.
The Jaguars have neither the receivers nor the game plan to enjoy fantasy success. When you are a run-first team, it's hard to recommend the quarterback in the fantasy game.
I wouldn't even want Garrard as a backup.
