Raiders: The shocking part of Darren McFadden's monster game against the Chiefs was that the Raiders offered no passing threat, so the rookie basically was running against an 11-man front on every play. He's Adrian Peterson all over again ...
Michael Bush also had a coming-out party (16 carries, 90 yards, one touchdown), but that only serves to remind us how valuable Justin Fargas remains in the fantasy game. Bush only played so much because Fargas left the game with a groin injury. Look for Fargas to miss a couple of games, but then return to his 50-50 split with McFadden on a team that should flat-out just stop passing the ball. With both Fargas and McFadden hurting now, however, Bush could turn into the team's primary back this week. He's worth a one-week look off waivers.
Chiefs: Having seen the Patriots struggle to put up points on the Jets, we now see the Chiefs' defensive effort in Week 1 wasn't so impressive after all. More games like Sunday's and Kansas City is going to turn into a team that's forced to throw on every down because it's hopelessly behind. That's not necessarily a good thing for a team with quarterback issues (you're kidding with Tyler Thigpen, right?), and a terrible thing for Larry Johnson, but it puts Tony Gonzalez and Dwayne Bowe in play each week ...
As for Johnson, let's give him one more chance this week at Atlanta, then be prepared to get him out of your lineup before he kills you. If you had him last year, you know what I mean.
