Play the New England defense.

The last time Bill Belichick kept his team out west for a full week in between games, he got criticized big-time and saw his club lay a big-time egg.

That didn't stop him from doing it again this week. But this time look for the results to be different.

Three things lead to that conclusion:

1. His defense will be motivated to make him look good in the face of continued criticism.

2. Randy Moss will convince his guys facing the Raiders is worth getting excited about.

3. Did I mention the Patriots are playing the offensively-challenged Raiders?

Lo and behold, there's even rain in the forecast Sunday.

A shutout is a possibility. The Patriot defense will come through for you.
