Pick up the Oakland defense.
One thing that occurs when a team makes an in-season coaching change is it gives the club a new purpose in what might otherwise be considered meaningless games down the stretch.
You might think the Raiders already are playing out the string, but with Tom Cable trying to prove he deserves a long-term shot at coaching the team, you can bet he's going to try his darnedest to fire up his guys.
It might be a waste of hot air when it comes to the Oakland offense. But lost in a couple of truly inept offensive performances the past two weeks were a pair of decent defensive efforts.
It would be hard to recommend the Raider defense in upcoming games at Denver and San Diego, and maybe even this week at Miami. But look at the Raiders' remaining three home games: Kansas City, New England, Houston.
Imagine having the Oakland defense going up against the mistake-prone Chiefs in Week 13 with your fantasy playoff future on the line. You certainly could do a whole lot worse.
