See if Peyton Manning is available.
There's been a lot of talk about Manning not being himself this season, and some of it is true. But more than anything else, the Colts haven't been themselves this season, and therein lies Manning's biggest problem.
But that can change. In fact, all indications are it's about to change.
Everything about the Colts offense is encouraging. Dallas Clark is getting healthy. A second tight end has been developed. Marvin Harrison has worked himself into shape. Joseph Addai is regaining his form. And a patched-up offensive line is starting to work well together.
With all that going for him, Manning can't help but get better and better as the season goes along.
Meanwhile, there's no indication the Indy defense will be taking similar positive steps any time soon. And there's nothing wrong with that from a fantasy standpoint.
The more points the Colts give up -- like last week at Houston -- the more they have to score to keep up. That keeps Manning throwing, and that keeps his numbers on the rise.
Deal for him now while the price could be surprisingly reasonable.
