Opulent Temple presents a beach-party as performance-art extravaganza this Saturday: fire, water, lights, music, visual screens, carnival games, five swimming pools, sand (by the ton), monumental art installations--the producers even claim to have obtained legal permits.

Wowzers.

The event will blossom forth in the 250,000 square-foot American Steel Warehouse in Oakland, California.  Beach apparel encouraged.

Not just about partying
"Social change will not happen without the individual elevation of our collective spiritual center of gravity. Thus, it is our responsibility to nudge our own evolution to catch up with the outpaced growth of technology without the soul getting left behind," according to Opel Productions' DJ visionary Syd Gris.

"It is our intention to create the space for peak experience, community development, and inspiration that serves as a road map for what's possible in the so called 'default world.'"

The event, entitled "Sand by the Ton," happens this Saturday night, July 11, from 4 PM until the cows come home (or at least check-in to pleasant accommodations) at the American Steel Warehouse at 1960 Mandela Parkway in Oakland, California.
