The last of the ice has finally melted and spring is in the air. In fact, Spring Break is fast approaching for area students. Jefferson and Oldham County public schools will be on break from March 30 to April 3, while students on the other side of the river in the Greater Clark County district of Indiana will be on break a week earlier, from March 23 to March 27.
Because of the recent economic downturn, many families are by necessity skipping the customary Spring Break vacations to Disney World and warm, sunny beaches. But if they don’t want their kids just zoning out in front of the TV or spending all of their time trying to master Guitar Hero, what are frugal parents to do?
No need to worry, there are plenty of options to keep your kids busy and happy around town (and that will hopefully give you a little time to yourself, as well). Just check out one of the many specialized Spring Break camps available in the Louisville area. Whether you have apre-schooler or a teen, an animal lover or a sports fanatic, there is a camp that’s right for you.
