The Washington Wizards released a fully televised schedule of their 2008-09 season yesterday, which includes all 41 home games aired locally by Comcast. While the complete schedule includes all 82 games of the regular season, the Wizards' lone preseason home game against Detroit on October 10th is still questionable. The good news is tickets for that lone Detroit game will be on sale this Monday, as well as a presale for over twenty games, including the upcoming season opener against New Jersey. Write it down now: 9/15 at 9 a.m. ET -- or consider clicking the "Add to My Alerts" button over at Ticketmaster, and for those who use Google Mail or iCal, you might want to set notifiers for the games as well. Also to note, the Wizards last preseason game of the season against Cleveland on October 24th will air nationally on ESPN in addition to the local Comcast Sportsnet televised spot.
Wizards Home Game Intro Released
Speaking of spots, the Wizards released this intro video they will use at every home game this season, as well as a behind the scenes look at the making of the video (the video sort of locks up for me in Firefox; try out the Wizards YouTube channel in IE if all else fails). The Wizards, backed by Kanye West's "Stronger," are "Ready to Rule." Can't get enough? Take a stroll through multimedia lane, and check out the Wizard Girls and more.
While we wait for October 1st, and the sale of individual tickets, have a refresher on the televised preseason, and the home match-ups to watch this regular season.![]()
