The Washington Wizards were held to a dismal 33.3% shooting percentage from the floor tonight in an 88-74 loss to the Detroit Pistons. Mike James led the Wizards on the road with 16 points in his first starting point guard role for Washington, while the Pistons Allen Iverson wore shades of his Hoyas days, scoring 28 points on the way to a Detroit victory.
The Wizards Nick Young, reportedly green-lighted prior to tonight's game, went 1-for-9 from the floor in 15 minutes played, and ended up with just 2 points. Wizards center, Etan Thomas, is still out after a routine check-up to insure his health.
Tonight's loss puts the Wizards at 4-19 on the season. The 1966 Baltimore Bullets were 4-21 before picking up their fifth win of the season.
The Wizards will play the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday with hopes of a better outcome than their loss last Saturday.
