The Southeast division of the NBA's Eastern Conference has played fairly well this season, led surprisingly by the Atlanta Hawks.  The Hawks big 6-0 start broke when they faced the Boston Celtics, and they are currently on a two game losing skid, while the Orlando Magic have won two straight.

The rest of the Southeast division is made up of the Miami Heat, the Charlotte Bobcats, and the Washington Wizards, currently at the bottom the East.

Meanwhile, in the West, the Los Angeles Lakers fell to 7-1 after losing to the East's Detroit Pistons, leaving no perfect team left in the NBA.  I guess the AI trade was a good idea.

The West has three teams with only 1 win this season, including the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Los Angeles Clippers, and the Oklahoma City Thunder, and through the month of November, the Wizards will look to break away from the bottom pack.

Let's take a look at the East's Southeast division in detail:

Southeast Division W L W% DIV
Atlanta (3) 6 2 75.0 1-0
Orlando (5) 6 3 66.7 1-1
Miami (7) 5 4 55.6 1-1
Charlotte 3 5 37.5 1-0
Washington 1 6 14.3 0-2

Atlanta has beaten Orlando, and Orlando has beaten Washington.  Miami lost to Charlotte, but beat Washington as well.  Washington will have a second chance against Miami this Tuesday, and will challenge Atlanta the very next day.  The good news is Wednesday seems to be the day for Washington, in fact, the Wizards haven't won this year on any other day but Wednesday, including the preseason.  Hopefully they'll add Tuesday to the win list as well.

Washington will close the month of November with a second meeting against Orlando on the 27th, and then a second meeting against Atlanta on the 29th, which means the Wizards could improve to as much as a 4-2 Division standing by the end of the month.  We'll get a sense of how "Dwight Howard" JaVale McGee is.  Washington won't face Charlotte until December 23rd.

In other news, check out Nick Young's mailbag, and check out the newly amended Wizards Holiday Guide!

I also had to track down this funny commercial for the arts they play between game breaks on Comcast SportsNet.  Speaking of funny, is there anything more awkward looking than this?  Hey, I have to take my digs on the Hawks when I can, it's a battle out there.

Visit the arts' media page for even more zany commercials, and be sure to continue watching Comcast SportsNet for your chance to enter a trip to New Orleans and $500 spending cash.  All you have to do is watch the game, look for the special keyword during the telecast (which should pop-up on the bottom left corner of your screen while you watch the game) and then enter that keyword on the top right corner where it says "Enter keyword."  Then click the "GO!" button, and you're set!
