OAKLAND’S 16th ANNUAL BIKE TO WORK DAY

"The No-pollute Commute!”

Thursday, May 14, 2009
Oakland City Hall
14th Street & Broadway

The Bay Area is proud to be environmentally pro-active, and next Thursday Oakland's 16th Annual Bike to Work Day should be a lot of fun.  One need not be from Oakland to partake in the festivities.  BART can easily sweep cyclists to Oakland City Hall from all over the Bay Area.  It’s an all-day event not to miss.  Or, best yet, the Ferry is FREE on Bike to Work Day!

Does any of this inspire you yet?  Are you thinking this may be a good time to finally invest in a bike or upgrade the one you have?  A few Oakland bike shops have teamed up with Bike to Work Day to offer a 15% discount

Not all of us can hop a bike to work, but for those who can this is an opportunity to take thousands of cars off the road for a day.  It’s a great way to lessen up crowded parking lots, fight obesity and save money.  You may find that the entire “idea” of riding a bike could change your life!
