It's that time of year again. It's time for you to add to your attention on football by also getting your hoops fix.
This season might be the most exciting season for the Cal Bears in terms of basketball. Both the men's and women's teams start the year off ranked nationally--the men are ranked 13th and the women 18th by their respective AP polls.
It's the fourth consecutive season that the women go into the season ranked in the top 25.
The men will begin their season with an exhibition matchup against Chico State at Haas Pavilion on Thursday Nov. 5, at 7:30pm PST. The Women begin their season on Tuesday Nov. 3 at home against Vanguard at 6pm PST.
For the women's exhibition, the game will be free to all who come. The Lady Bears have been picked second in the Pac-10 and bring in one of the most talented freshman classes in the nation.

The men will take on Murray State for their first official game of the season next week for the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer. My colleague David Ramey has already done a quick look at the Cal Bears. You can take a look at it and give him your opinion by clicking here.
