“Name’s Leon,” the lanky guy extended a long arm to Crystal E. She took his hand and felt embarrassed by how Ecstacywet her palms were.
“Friends call me Crystal E,” she smiled. “This is Olivia, the brain and this is Kat the body. I’m the wallet, so I follow you.” Crystal E laughed loudly at her own joke. Kat gave her a slap on the ass and Olivia just grinned. Her mouth then fell slightly and she looked worried.
“Good to meet you Leon. We’ll all go with you actually. We leave no man behind.” Olivia said. The three stood teetering on their stiletto heels and as Leon nodded and turned towards the smoking, sweating crowd that lingered on the boisterous patio, Kat walked forward first and Crystal E gave her a slap on the ass in return.
Crystal E could feel the dissipation of the drug. The longing for more. The tempo of the outdoor DJ aerating her body, spreading warmth and love through every electric cell. But the warmth was fading and the need for more swamped her mind, making it sloshy and meek. It was times like this you had to be wary of yourself. It was here the baby addict inside you could take over and you could find yourself in dangerous situations trying to find more. But at Vanguard, a familiar place, with the beat uplifting the atmosphere, the dark corners were no scarier than the foreboding alleys snaking through downtown L.A. Plus there was a mission at hand. Leon was weaving through the crowd, heading towards the other side of the patio, the DJ booth still behind them. The further away from the bass they became the more sober Crystal E felt, and this made her more anxious.
“You guys digging Kaskade so far?” Leon asked, turning his neck so the girls could hear him.
“Well, we’ve been outside for awhile now but when we were inside it was amazing,” Kat said. “So may I ask about this product?” Kat could ask anything she liked, all the time, anywhere. Her pixie face and lean body were not only helpful in dating but in business as well and it made all clients, potential lovers or not, lenient and open.
“Oh, you’ll be quite satisfied. Pure stuff, good price. My guy is at the back; he usually is pretty reliable and is always here on Saturdays.” Leon said. As the four of them broke free from the mass of people, Leon walked up to a good-looking fellow smoking and standing with a guy and a girl. He wore dark Ray Bans, a white button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up, and a skinny, black tie. The guy standing next to them was a taller Asian man with his arm around the even taller girl. Her towering, flowing body made the two men beside her look like her minions. But it was apparent that the good looking one had the goods. He put out his cigarette and smiled at Leon.
“You always bring me the most beautiful clientele,” he said in a Korean accent. Leon shrugged and laughed, then leaned up against the back fence, fiddling with his glow sticks. The man put out his hand to Crystal E. “I’m Ken.”
“Crystal E,” she said as she shook his hand. “Having fun tonight?”
“Oh, the best,” he answered and took off his sunglasses. His face had a soothing effect on her. His slender eyes, although drooping with the drug, looked kindly at Crystal E and his fair skin seemed so smooth, her desire to touch it came as quickly as her desire for him. But, she was aware of how eager her last pill was making her and business was waiting to happen.
“Nice. So, how many can I buy?” she asked quietly, averting her eyes from his as they seemed to make her body quiver all of a sudden.
“To the point, I like that about a girl,” he said, smiling.
“Sorry,” she said embarrassed by her drug induced focus. “We took our last pill awhile ago and we’re not ready for the night to end.”
Ecstacy Installation“Absolutely not,” Kat echoed. Olivia stood there with her arms crossed and her big eyes darting back and forth.
“Okay then. I have a few mollies and the standard pills. Blue Dolphins and Green Lanterns. 10 for the colored ones and 20 for the mollies.”
“What’s a mollie?” Olivia spoke up. Crystal E rolled her eyes, shocked at her own friend’s lack of drug etiquette.
“A capsule of the most pure of ecstasy, no fillers, no preservatives, as they say,” laughed Ken. “I had one of these to start the ball rolling and then cap it off with a couple of the Green Lanterns. The Blue Dolphins have a more 50/50 ratio, where as the green ones coupled with a pure mollie will get you high as a kite with virtually no come down.”
“Sounds like a plan then. Three mollies, six of the green,” Crystal E announced and she got out a few bills to conduct the transaction.
“Hey, hey, not here beautiful. Let’s go over there,” Ken said. He pointed towards the entrance to the staircase that lead back down into the main room where Kaskade’s beats came flooding from.
“Inside?’ she asked confused.
“Just to the stairs. There’s a little alcove with some light and no guards. Trust me, I’m here often, I have to be careful.”
She turned to Olivia and Kat, “I’ll be back.” It sounded more like a question then a fact and before her friends could say anything, Ken’s tall, impressionable body was upon her, making the sweat in her hands and between her breasts flow with uncanny sexual tension. He was guiding her by the arm, the threat of remorse now a bursting bubble for she felt no fear, towards the darkness that she was hoping to avoid until later that night.
