If you use gmail, then you have probably used one of its gadgets before, but may not be sure exactly what it is. Ever heard of Google docs? What about Google calendar? Yep, those are gadgets. Interested in adding a few custom gadgets to keep up with all the social media sites you have been joining? I have added a few for you below.
Before you begin though, keep a couple things in mind. First, you have to tweak your Labs settings a bit within gmail. So login, go to settings, then labs, then go down to the 'add any gadget by URL' setting and enable it and save. Second, to add a gadget, you must do it by URL. I have made all the gadgets below link to the URL you will need to do this. So now go to gadgets in the settings section of gmail, copy and paste the URL into the box and click the add button.
