The shocking announcement made by ABC Daytime regarding the moving of All My Children's set location from New York to L.A. has posed quite a challenge for cast members who were told they had to make a decision to make a move if they wanted to stay with the show.
Carolyn Hinsey over at the New York Daily News has some additional details as to how much time cast members have to make their decision. According to an ABC representative, the cast has until September 8th to make their final decision and while some AMC stars have committed to the move, ABC won't be releasing names until that September deadline passes.
One person who has not committed to moving is Susan Lucci, who has starred as Erica Kane since the show's inception in 1970."
For much more on what this ABC representative told Hinsey and for what Susan Lucci had to say about the initial announcement and what making the move means to her, see Hinsey's article.
All one can say is that September of 2009 will always be remembered as a big news month for soaps based upon the loss of Guiding Light and the set moves made by All My Children and One Life to Live who will be occupying the New York set of All My Children once they head out to L.A.
