 RIVER ENDS UP BEING PLACED UNDER ARREST, JACK AND ADAM DECIDE TO TAKE A TRIP TO MEXICO TOGETHER, NIKKI GETS A JOB AT RESTLESS STYLE AND DANIEL BREAKS AMBER'S HEART.......

WHAT WE SAW THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 18th:

• Nikki tells Nick she really wants to go back to work so she can lose themselves in something.  Adams bursts in and starts screaming at Nikki because of what she said about him to Cane.  Nick orders Adam to back down and insists he'll break him in half if he ever talks to his mother like that again.
• Nick and Phyllis are disagreeing over Restless Style's next cover and it's content and they each have their own agendas.  Nikki enters and finds the perfect compromise for them.  Later, Phyllis tells Nick they should hire Nikki as their interim editor in chief and Nick likes the idea. 
• Jack complains about Victor sticking it to him by giving Nick the money to take over Restless Style.  Sharon claims part of that might be her fault.  She tells Jack she went to Victor asking him to give Nick a job so she and Jack to buy out the magazine.  She didn't expect it to backfire.  Jack wonders if there's anything else Sharon doesn't want him to know.  He then goes back to blaming Victor for everything.
• As Amber complains about her life to Jana, Liam calls and says he can't make it to Daniel's showing.  Things get worse for Amber when Colleen shows up announcing she is going to be Daniel's date tonight.  Amber lets Daniel know she is not too thrilled about this.  Later, Daniel tells Amber he would still like her to come to the show but she tells him to go to hell.  Later, she regrets that. 
• Brad pleads with Heather to find Walter Palin and work on getting to the bottom of the David Chow scandal.  Nikki was both stunned and flattered when Phyllis and Nick offered her the editor-in-chief position.  Adam is arrested after trying to get past Victor's security guards to see his father.  
• Jack visited the Newman ranch and demanded to see Victor.  The security guard won't give him access.  He has the guard take an envelope of photos to Victor telling him to let Victor know they would be going out to the tabloids soon.  Jack is sure Victor will eventually see him.   
• Jack bails Adam out of jail and shows him the photos of Sabrina.  Jack tells Adam he wants to offer one of Victor's competitors the entire story of Victor's life.  He needs Adam's input to make the story sizzle.  Jack also wants to head off to Mexico to find out what really happened there.  Adam is apparently in since he asked when they would be leaving.
• Amber goes to Daniel's show in the end and Colleen wants her to leave.  Daniel asks to see Amber alone.  He tells Amber she is the show.  He drops a bomb when he tells her he hopes they can be friends now that he is with Colleen.  Daniel goes back to Colleen and suddenly Liam comes up behind Daniel.  Amber is thrilled to see him but shortly after that, she realizes Liam is Billy Abbott!
• The authorities show up at Michael's looking for River.  Michael tells them he's his estranged father but he did not know he was in town.  Michael lets the cops in to prove he isn't there and then he rushes to the diner where River is.  Just after Michael and his family say goodbye to River, he is arrested.

 Oh, please do spare me the thoughts of Adam and Jack as a team!  Amber is crushed when Daniel tells her hopes they can be friends and I just can't get used to Daniel with Colleen.  They are a total 'snooze' couple to say the least.  Heather is concerned that Adam might not be able to trust Jack when she hears about Adam's trip to Mexico.  Adam is convinced that Jack is 100% trustworthy!
