Find out more about Mary: Mary Montanari is so into ‘Afternoon Delight’---she has amnesia insurance and wants to be buried with breath mints in case she comes back from the dead. If you love the world of soap operas…you just have to come here daily. |

Many of your have already read the news that McKenzie Westmore (ex Sheridan-Passions) has landed the role of the psychiatrist "All My Children" is introducing to work with Annie to help her emerge from that crazed corner she has backed herself into. It is rather unlikely that this new shrink in town will be interacting solely with Annie's dark world. Let's face it, while she's attempting to psychoanalyze Annie she will obviously have to speak with those close to this patient, so as long as she's there, she might as well just hang out the shingle because Annie isn't the only woman in Pine Valley who could use some Prozac, a straight jacket and a few sedatives.
Am I wrong or could the new shrink in town have a thriving practice in no time? Basically, I am just an arm chair psychologist. While I've read a few issues of "Psychology Today" magazine I almost never watch Dr. Phil because "General Hospital" airs the same time his show is on and in all honesty--he does nothing for me. Give me mobster avenue on Port Charles over Dr. Phil anytime as crazy as that sounds. I am honestly not qualified to judge which in Pine Valley residents could actually use the new shrink in town's couch, but in my opinion half their population would qualify about now.
Do share your thoughts here and recruit a character you think might become interesting patient for Westmore's new character. I can only hope, with Greenlee exiting Pine Valley for good that Ryan doesn't go to speak to the new doc just to help Annie out because if the writers ever created a romantic relationship between Westmore's character and Ryan--I will personally need more than a couch and a few sedatives.
For more on Westmore's new opportunity see this interview she did recently with Linda Marshall-Smith over at Soapdom. The doctor will be arriving in Pine Valley on December 12th and it should be interesting.
