
Who knew encrypted communication capabilities would have the power to wipe out the once valuable code names the Secret Service used while referring to the president and first family in radio transmissions for protection purposes. According to Eric Zahren the Secret Service spokesperson the code names no longer have any operational security significance anymore but since the White House Communications Agency had so much fun selecting the code names, they decided to keep the tradition alive. This challenge could be a difficult one because according to tradition, each member of the first family must have a one word code name that can be easily understood in radio transmissions and each code name must start with the same letter. For example, George Bush was named "Trailblazer" and Laura Bush was known as "Tempo" in secret code circles. President-elect Barack Obama is Renegade, Michelle Obama is Renaissance, Sasha Obama is Rosebud and Malia Obama is Radiance.
I was just wondering. If Luke Spencer had become president, what would the code names be for Luke, Laura, Lucky and Lulu. Now that could present a problem if they went with all "L" words, but I am sure the White House Communications Agency could have pulled this off much better than I could have, but here are my choices for the Spencer family:
