With two major job fairs coming up June 3rd and 4th, there's still ample time to do your homework..jpg)
Both job fairs are sponsored by prominent on-line job boards. SalesTrax is sponsoring a job fair on June 3rd. The time for the job and career fair is 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Embassy Suites Hotel, Pittsburgh Airport . There look to be some strong companies participating in the event in a variety of industries such as pharmaceutical, communications, medical device and financial services. SalesTrax has registration information and other details on their website. Monster is sponsoring a job fair on June 4th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Pittsburgh Marriott City Center. There also look to be some great companies participating in the event including Ariba, PNC, Dish Network, Colonial Life, Metlife, Sprint and many more. If you are actively looking for work, this is an opportunity to meet with several companies and have on the spot interviews. Preparation for your day at the job fair will help you to stand out. Given today's economic situation, attendance at job fairs is at an all time high.
It is important to show up for these events professional dressed. This means business suits for both men and ladies. Collared shirts and ties for the gentlemen. I've prepared a guideline for your day as a separate article: Job Fair Preparation. Included in the article are tips on homework to do prior to these job fairs along with what to do while there and after the event is over. Should you decide to attend one of these job fairs, please comment below. I'd love to follow up with you after the event.
