New Jersey will have to deal with more showers and cool weather for the next 24 hours as a complex storm system moves just south of us. This morning's surface map continues to show an area of low pressure moving off the coast. As this low moves offshore a secondary low will develop behind it keeping much of the state in a damp and cool pattern. Rain will be more prominent as you head south of route 78, however with an easterly flow right off the 40 degree ocean, most of the state will feature a mostly cloudy sky with below normal temperatures.
There is a silver lining to this forecast! Once the system moves away the return of sunshine and a warmer southerly flow will bring back the spring warmth much of us have been craving for.
The Newark Weather Examiner's Outlook looks great!
Thursday will start the warming trend as temperatures will pop around 60 degrees. However come Friday we see temperatures running for 70 degrees with the warmest day coming saturday with highs 68-73 across the state.
