Many of you have woken up to a dreary damp morning across New Jersey. Well, that's about to change. A warm front continues to advance through the area from noon time until 5pm. As this front moves through the clouds will break and temperatures will shoot into the low to mid 60's. Already temperatures across Delaware are nearing 75 degrees as the southerly flow continues to advance north bound. The problems then come during the evening hours. A cold front situated to the west will move into the region. With low level moisture in place along with a rigorous low level jet the potential for a few severe cells could occur.
The Newark Examiner's pin point areas of concern will be regions west of the Garden State Parkway from Voorhees NJ into North Western NJ. These are the regions that will undergo the greatest instability across the region. Areas from the GSP on eastward continue to remain stable under the direction of the Easterly flow off the ocean.
The storm prediction center in Norman, OK has placed much of western NJ under a slight risk area which in laymen’s terms means the greatest potential for a few severe storms. I will monitor this situation through the afternoon and will post accordingly.

Visible Satellite of the storm out to the west.
