Froggies Uptown

Froggies in Uptown may not be stocked with necessities, but it sure is fun to shop there. You can find funny greeting cards, “shut the hell up” chewing gum and books for every occasion.

I once bought a book for less than a dollar, detailing the dangers of evil banana peels. Yep, there’s stuff like that. Plenty of cheap thrills. And for the girl who has everything, there’s “Porn for Women.” Before you go red in the face, don’t worry; it’s not what you think. It’s a book full of sensitive, hottie boyfriends with quotes like “keep both bags. I don’t care what they cost. You deserve ‘em!”

So whether you’re in the market for a gag gift, bachelorette party favor or something to get back at your ex (voodoo dolls)… think Froggies. You don’t have to spend an arm and a leg. In fact you don’t have to spend anything if you just want to browse for laughs.

Froggies is open Monday thru Thursday from 11 AM to 9 PM, Fridays and Saturdays from 11 AM to 10 PM and Sundays from noon to 8 PM. It’s located on McKinney Avenue in the heart of the West Village. You can map the location by clicking here.
