Luke Skywalker's Lightsaber, C-3PO's droid helmet, Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones Hat, Whip and Machete and Christian Bale's Batman cowl are just a few of the items up for grabs in Profiles In History’s upcoming Hollywood Memorabilia auction. If there is a movie buff on your holiday shopping list, and you’ve got some serious bucks to spend, this is your chance to scarf up costumes, scripts, posters and more from Superman, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, 007, X-Men, The Terminator and more.

Mark Hamill's hero "Luke Skywalker" lightsaber from Star Wars and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back is expected to go for $150,000-$180,000. A three volume presentation First Edition of The Lord of the Rings with Elvish inscription with all three volumes signed by J.R.R. Tolkien should fetch $80,000-$120,000. Indiana Jones fans can snatch up the hero’s machete from “Temple of Doom” for around $80,000-$100,000. More than 500 iconic pieces of Hollywood history will be offered by Profiles in History during their 33rd Hollywood auction, which will be held December 11, 2008. Worldwide bidding begins at 12:00pm (PST). Bids can be placed either in person, via mail, phone, fax or live on the Internet via eBay Live Auctions.

Other well-known props include Arnold Schwarzenegger's sunglasses and signature "T-800 Terminator" costume From Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Jim Carrey's complete signature "Riddler" costume from Batman Forever, Christian Bale's signature "Batman" cowl from Batman Begins, Dean Cain's Superman costume from Lois And Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman, and even Sally Field's nun's habit from The Flying Nun.

"I find people buy their memories," says Joe Maddalena, owner of Profiles in History, the nation's leading dealer of guaranteed-authentic original historical autographs and vintage Hollywood memorabilia. "It's all about memories, taking us back to a time, perhaps an event with a long lost relative who took you as a kid to see Star Wars. The baby boomers have come into the spending part of their lives. They have had success and are collecting their childhood. They want 50s, 60s and 70s TV collectibles or memorabilia, as this era of TV was such a huge part of their lives."
