Seven Arts Pictures recently announced the start of principal photography on the remake of the classic horror flick “Night of The Demons.” Principal photography is expected to be completed before December 1st, 2008. The budget for the movie is under $15,000,000 and it is expected to be delivered before the end of the current 2009 fiscal year on June 30th 2009.

“Night of the Demons” will be directed by Adam Gierasch from a screenplay he co-wrote with his partner, Jace Anderson. The story follows six teens that visit an abandoned house on Halloween night. When a séance goes terribly awry they awaken a terrible force; a battle to survive ensues as they are stalked by a demon spirit.

The film stars Shannon Elizabeth, Monica Keena, Diora Baird, and Edward Furlong,

The academy award winning team at Drac Studios will create the demons. Drac Studios received three academy awards for their work on "Bram Stoker's Dracula," for "Mrs. Doubtfire,” and they received the Technical Achievement Academy Award® for creating state of the art advancements in silicone prosthetic makeup appliances.

Director and co-writer Adam Gierasch commented, “I couldn’t be more excited! Halloween, loud music, and demons; three of my favorite things! I'm chomping at the bit to work with Drac Studios to bring them to life for moviegoers in spades. We've got a great cast, spooky locations, and some of the best demons I've ever seen. It's time to rock!”
