GM is looking to meet demand for its newest crossovers, the second-generation Chevrolet Equinox and the all-new (yet kind of the same) GMC Terrain.
To do so, it's looking to throw $100M Canadian at its CAMI plant (located in Ingersoll, Ontario and co-owned with Suzuki). With that not-insignificant investment come big updates and re-tooling through mid-next year, along with pulling at least 200 laid-off employees back into the GM fold.
By performing this latest hiring binge, GM will have brought 550+ people back into the world of the working (after a third shift was added at the Ingersoll plant in mid-October).
