No one knows when the Empress casino will re-open, but the people who work there will get paychecks for the next 90 days.

The Joliet casino's gaming floor was unharmed in last Friday's fire, but the pavilion has been destroyed. The pavilion is essentially the entrance to the table games and slots. General Manager Frank Quigley says there's no answer when the casino will be up and running.

The casino contributes around a million dollars per month in taxes.
