If you have the time this Christmas season and love the alps, head for Switzerland and take note of the following tips from Tony the Swiss ski instructor:

Tony's tip #1: The following slopes are open.  Winter is around the corner - and some of the Swiss ski resorts have already opened their slopes. Don't believe it? Check out our live web-cams and the latest snow reports.
Engadin St.Moritz >>
Les Diablerets - Glacier 3000 >>
Zermatt >>

Tony's tip #2: Don't forget your bikini.  Igloo villages offer a somewhat different way to experience the Alps: A romantic night for two (yes, your "bed" will be decorated with ice-carved hearts), a fondue evening with your ski-buddies, or a Jacuzzi splash as an after-ski party. Cozy sleeping bags will keep you warm all night - no AC, sorry. Think green...pardon, "white"!

Tony's tip #3: Dance in your ski boots.  Skiing in Switzerland is more than a sport - it's a lifestyle. Having lunch (slow-food, of course) on a sun-drenched terrace is an essential part of the Swiss ski experience. Another one is to dance in your ski boots. We have selected the best "final stops" on your last descent of the day.
