It's been decided today, the 33rd Americia's Cup sailboat races will be held starting February 8th, 2010 in the city that hosted in in 2005, Valencia, Spain...one of the fastest growing cities in all of Europe. So the mega billionaries who have been fighting the the New York court system with their wallets can now fight it out on the water as it should be. Even if you could care less about sailing, but do love sports, you should add this event to your radar because the two boats will be very different, extremely expensive, as high tech as a boat can be created, and did I say FAST. Two 90' plus boats, one a trimaran (three hulls) and one a catamaran (two hulls) and are capable of going more than twice the wind speed, will make this unlike any other America's Cup in the 150 plus years the event has been held. It's the longest running sporting event in the history of world sports. All that being said, Larry Ellision of the BMW/Oracle racing has filed almost a dozen protests against Ernesto Berteralli and Alinghi for what Ellison has considered 'improper' in the hosting of the 33rd cup. So let me be among the dozens of journalists who say..."I'll believe when I see it."
